Hey there! I am Ellis Share, a Reno, NV based designer, architect, climber, and mother. I have been designing and climbing for over 15 years.
ROAPS all started off as a small grad school project. I began with a simple premise, take some retired climbing ropes, of which I had many, and create something new.
The goal was to take something that has reached the end of its usefulness as a piece of gear, but is still a viable and useful material, and design something people would be proud to have in their homes.
Over the years I continued to refine the design as well as create new pieces.
From this simple premise and need to create, ROAPS was born!
